The fundraiser supports Junior League's efforts to prepare the children of Northern Virginia for success by addressing childhood obesity through increased nutritional and physical activity education.
  • $25 provides self-esteem and character building program for 10 children in area homeless shelters,
  • $100 provides one Kids in the Kitchen event on healthy eating and lifestyles choices,
  • $250 provides backpacks and school supplies for 25 homeless and other children in need,

The images in today's blog entry are courtesy of  Mr. RafiQ Salleh-Flowers, based in Dallas, Texas. RafiQ created this gingerbread house from scratch. The gingerbread house is part of an auction to generate funds for the Texas Scottish Rite Hospital For Children. Would you like to see more of RafiQ's  stunning work? Junior League members volunteer their time, talent and treasure to make the event is enjoyable for all. I'll be assisting in one of the Gingerbread house workshops. If you see me, please say hello.

Be well,
