August 2015 Technicolor Dining News

Welcome to August! Summer is well underway in the Northern Hemisphere and the bounty of produce is a delight to see and enjoy. Ears of corn, tomatoes, cucumbers, and berries available at farmer's markets, roadside stands, and super markets.

Growing up in New England the cool evenings of late August also represented the beginnings of Fall and a reminder that a return to school was on the horizon.

So what happened to the posts for the balance of  July? The plans for July came to a screeching halt as I observed family members deal with health challenges. One family member passed; one family member is on the road to recovery. In both instances, food was central to healing and nurturing. I am grateful for the support of friends of loved ones.

The adventures for July will appear in August. I also invite you to join me as I explore:

  • Thai and Vietnamese dishes
  • A return to Versailles  - Versailles Kentucky that is!
Are you ready? Let's go!

Be well,
Technicolor girl
