My Mama Says - A Mother's Day Technicolor dining Ode

What better day to salute the moms, aunts, grandmothers, sisters and other women in our lives who care for us than on Mother's Day? 

  

In the spirit of Mr. Kravitz's song, I envision my mother sharing the following wisdom with you:

 

My mama says, "you haven't lived until you've eaten an oyster po'boy "

 

   And my mama says, "warm apple pie a la mode with a slice of cheddar cheese is joy!"

 

 

 

But my mama says, "it's okay to like bourbon, don't act coy"

  

 

All playing aside, my mother has had a significant influence on my interest in all things food and dining related. To this day she insists that her kitchen be clean and tidy, especially while cooking.
