Fentiman's: Where have you been all my life?

The first encounter with Rose Lemonade
On a recent visit to Maple Avenue Restaurant for lunch  (yes, a blog post be published soon) I was introduced to Fentiman's soft drinks by Ricardo, the kind server assigned to my table. The Rose Lemonade intrigued me Ricardo confirmed that it was  very popular with the restaurant's diners. .

Moments later a bottle of Rose Lemonade, glass with ice and a straw were placed in front of me. I inhaled deeply and smelled the rose scent generating from the bottle. The scent was intoxicating and relaxing.  I poured this elixir into the glasses. More rose scent.  I took a sip.

Light.

Refreshing.

Effervescent.

I'm not a big soft drink consumer ( I stock ginger ale and coca- cola primarily  for mixers and when guests visit), but I still wondered how I had missed out on this treasure and where I could buy more. I made a note to research the internet as soon as possible to find out where I could buy Rose Lemonade.

The internet yielded much information- Fentiman's is botanically brewed ( meaning that their beverages are brewed using plants roots and herbs).  I thought I would have to purchase the soft drink via the internet when I decided to try local stores first - Balducci's, Whole Foods and Wegmans.

First stop was the local Wegmans. I stopped at the customer service desk  and provided the vendor name to Tia, the employee on duty. She stated that the beverage should be available and pointed to appropriate store aisle. I contained myself long enough to buy two four-packs  of the Rose Lemonade.
At almost $2 a bottle, this is not a beverage I will be drinking daily. However,  it will be my treat when I was a beverage that smells delightful and is refreshing. Fentiman's beverages are available in other flavors as well, including:  Ginger Beer, Victorian Lemonade, Dandelion and Burdock, Cherry Tree Cola, Mandarin and Seville Orange Jigger.

Rose Lemonade at home!
Now that I have a four-pack in my possession I've begun to wonder if this beverage would mix well with alcohol. Perhaps chilled vodka?  What do you think?

Have you had Fentiman's beverages before? Which is your favorite?

Be well,
Technicolor girl
