Welcome July!

The whirlwind of June is transitioning to the slow, lazy days of Summer and the magic it represents.
For World Cup enthusiasts like me, the first 13 days of July will be spent juggling time between watching matches, working, and enjoying the summer weather.

Soon, the United States celebrates Independence Day on July 4th. My family usually fires up the grill and makes  potato salad, green salad, and  savory/sweet baked beans  (the recipe is a family secret!),  and grilled corn. Desserts ranged from strawberry short to fresh fruit  or hand cranked ice cream  (even when electric ice cream makers were first introduced  we still made ice cream manually). I  now own an electric ice cream maker. I've attempted to make ice cream twice and was not successful. Perhaps the third attempt will work.

There were topics that were to be discussed in June that were not posted  due to competing demands on my time. The topics will be posted in July.

I invite you to join me and explore the 'lazy, hazy days of Summer'  Technicolor dining style.

Be well,

Technicolor girl
