I discovered in a paella cooking class last year that there are numerous variations of paella. My table mates and I had the pleasure of making black squid paella with squid ink. The ink was provided in packets that reminded us of carry out soy sauce packets. Chef Neiroda, our instructor, cautioned us to be very careful with the ink and not to get it on our clothing- it's difficult to remove.
Whisky is the anglicized mispronunciation of a Gaelic term meaning "water of life". Water is a key ingredient in the production of whisky whether it be from Ireland, Japan, France, or the United States. The type of grains, distillation, aging (vessel used and length of aging) and other factors result in the product that whisky lovers around the world enjoy.
