Happy Pi Day! Pi, the ratio of a circle's circumference to its diameter, has been represented by the Greek letter "π" since the mid-18th century, though it is also sometimes spelled out as "pi". I like that this mathematical constant is celebrated in a number of ways on this day including reciting pi and eating pie. This year has special significance because at 9:26:53 The date is 3.141592653. It happens once a century. I think my geometry teacher would be be glad to see that I remembered.
Are you reciting pi? Eating pie? Baking pie? Which is your favorite pie? Share your comments below.
Be well,
