The
Montgomery County Food Council sent the flyer below to me. The Food Council s an independent council formed and led by professionals, private businesses, government officials, individual members, community organizations, and educational institutions. The Council's mission is to improve the environmental, economic, social and nutritional health of Montgomery County, Maryland through the creation of a robust, local, sustainable food system.
The Eat Local Challenge is the second activity in the 2015 Eat Local Challenge series. The first event was a round table and cooking event for local growers and chefs hosted by the
Universities at Shady Grove. I'll share more about that event in an upcoming blog post.
