2015 is beginning on a sweet note here. Thanks to the timely Facebook posting of a former coworker and a high school classmate I am the recipient of homemade treats.
Tootie, a former coworker, and her mom annually bake banana bread and make a variety of treats for family and friends. Tootie graciously sent me a sample of the treats

Lisa, a high school classmate, sent me a sampling of the numerous holiday treats she made. Lisa is the co-founder of
HAPPYness Blooms. The organization's goal is
to promote and enhance the Prom experience for 50 young women in Warwick, RI by providing the means for them to attend their Prom in a most magical way. Donations of quality new and “gently used” formal dresses and gowns as well accessories allow young women to attend their high school formal occasions without worrying about the financial burden associated with attending such events and allows for the opportunity to have memories of what is one of the most special events and milestones in a young girl’s life—the Prom. To learn more about HAPPYness Blooms, please visit their website.
I've asked Tootie and Lisa to share a recipe or two with us. Stay tuned for more details.
